LET'S PREPARE THE BODY..
Fencing is a situational discipline that requires an outstanding development of coordination and conditional abilities.
-
Balance ability
-
Rhythm control ability, managing one’s own rhythm and finding the opponent’s
-
Reaction ability
-
Spatio-temporal orientation, as fencing is about distance (measure) and time (timing choice)
-
Kinesthetic differentiation ability, the ability to modulate force according to the situation’s needs
-
Coupling and combination ability, fundamental for motor control, coordinating body segments in succession and in individual phases to execute the intended movement
-
Transformation ability, the capacity to adapt, modify, or replace the planned action based on changing situations
When it comes to conditional abilities, strength and speed play a dominant role, complemented by specific endurance, aligned with the timing of bouts and the rhythm of direct eliminations.
TRAINING IS A GAME
Achieving most objectives through play. By varying spaces and rules, excellent results can be obtained in the conditional domain.
Warm-up, activation, and specific endurance targeting the metabolic demands and short, rapid movements typical of fencing. Postural muscle strengthening.
Through playful exercises, preparatory sports, and traditional games, carefully selected elements essential to fencing can be developed.
Similarly, every aspect of coordination is essential for effective fencing, and the most functional way to develop it is through play.
Team sports such as Hockey, Roverino, and Ultimate Frisbee for direction changes, peripheral vision, and specific endurance—especially hockey, which improves lunging and kinesthetic differentiation
Juggling and “Equal and Opposite” (both versions) for timing, fine finger dexterity, learning ability, reaction, and anticipation
Balance exercises using sports and circus equipment
Rope games for rhythm, timing, distance control, and direction changes
An essential component is added to all this: MOTIVATION and ENTHUSIASM.
THE BREATH OF SPORT
Breathing is life and essential for an athlete’s life.
The project was created with the aim of promoting well-being through the integrated combination of breathing techniques, psychophysiology, and psychosomatics.
Reaching optimal physical performance in the shortest possible time, promoting active recovery, and managing post-training fatigue are common challenges faced by athletes.
Participants in the camp are offered a comprehensive package focused on teaching and practicing specific techniques for pre-competition mental preparation, performance enhancement and management, advanced recovery, concentration, and mindset development—all through breathing techniques.
LET'S PREPARE THE MIND
Visual training, Mental coach, SVTA
